ESPA LEADER PROGRAM
ESPA’s leadership program is for members at the associate director, director and VP level and is a forum for leaders in the service field to collaborate, share best practices and talk through challenges and solutions.
Leaders within our member organizations meet on a regular basis to discuss key topics for those leading services departments. A dedicated track is held at the Annual Conference. Recent topics have included:
- Demonstrating the value of services to your organization
- Goalsetting and budgeting
- Best practices and new services
- Leading through change & challenging times

Event Services Leaders Retreat

Networking, information sharing, relationship building, and completing our value proposition discussion

Location: Hilton Garden Inn DFW North/Grapevine
This retreat will feature a variety of activities to engage our Leaders:
- We will have valued time with Roundtable discussions on topics that Leaders are currently facing. This is our Leaders’ time to delve deep and learn from one another on the unique challenges you face. What’s working, what are you struggling with, how can leaders help one another to advance their professional development and their services roles. The Leader committee will engage with attendees to help shape the topics important to you.
- We will complete our discussion on the Blueprint for Success: Crafting A Strategic Vision for Event Services’ Value Proposition, facilitated by Shelly Green, CDME. As part of this strategy session, we will also expand our discussions to include success cases on what our member leaders are currently tracking to show value. The end outcome of this important program is to update and enhance the ROI of Event Services guide as a powerful resource and member benefit for Event Services teams.
- Additionally, we will have time for relationship building and more one-on-one conversations Leader to Leader through an optional fun dinner outing on the pre-night (Wednesday, April 23) as well as a group networking dinner at a Grapevine hot-spot on Thursday, April 24 (included in the registration fee).
The registration fee is $450 and includes the full day of meals on Thursday, April 24.
