Q: Describe something fun, different or outside the box that you have done in your services role:

A: Grapevine is known at the Christmas Capital of Texas® (that’s an official designation, not self-proclaimed!). For Christmas 2024 I was asked to lead the commissary car operations where we poured 58,000 cups of Frosty Chocolate Snow Milk as well as trayed up 58,000 Mrs. Claus Chocolate Chip Cookies to be distributed on Santa’s North Pole Express train excursions. A daunting task to keep fresh, chilled milk ready to be poured as well as fresh, soft cookies ready to be served. However, the joy in watching families, from grandparents down to toddlers and all dressed in their matching pajamas, depart the train with big smiles and happy memories makes the hard work and long hours worthwhile.

Q: Describe a challenge that you overcame in your role or for your client:

A: Grapevine is an internationally awarded festival city and hosts GrapeFest® and Main Street Fest each year. Grapevine is also home to tractor and farming corporation Kubota’s North American headquarters. Last year, the North American President wanted to host a Kubota Festival, similar to our festivals on Historic Main Street. Typically, this was not an event that city council would approve due to closing down the street to residents. But, coordinating with CVB leadership, City Council and the amazing Main Street merchants - we were able to obtain approval. Their workers descended upon Grapevine for their annual conference and were able to celebrate all their hard work on Historic Main Street with the Kubota Festival!
